Dr. Rebecca Pinau

Dr. Rebecca Pinau is a physician in the Department of Medicine at the National Referral Hospital, Solomon Islands.

Dr. Pinau completed her masters in internal medicine in Fiji and gained extensive experience managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

In 2025–2026, she completed an International Society of Nephrology (ISN) Fellowship in Nephrology at Waikato Hospital, New Zealand. During the fellowship, she worked closely with multidisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings, contributing to patient care and quality improvement initiatives.

Following her fellowship, Dr. Pinau returned to the Solomon Islands, where she continues to
provide specialist medical care while contributing to the development of nephrology services and strengthening internal medicine practice. She is committed to improving access to kidney care, mentoring junior doctors, and supporting the advancement of healthcare services within the country.
