Renal Care Insights: Data & Clinical Practice

• Guest speakers, including ANZDATA, will present registry insights, service trends, and cross‑Tasman perspectives.
• Select local research shaping the future of care.
• Sessions will examine the CKD burden, equity, and pressures on renal services, with a focus on practical service‑delivery outcomes.

The Bruce Morrison Award

This Award is made in honour of the late Dr Bruce Morrison for his outstanding contribution to Nephrology in Aotearoa New Zealand and has been awarded annually since 1992.
The Bruce Morrison Award is directed at ANZSN Members resident in Aotearoa New Zealand who are working as a RACP Nephrology Advanced Trainee.
Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must be a financial member of the ANZSN at the date of abstract closing.
Applicants must be working full time as a RACP Nephrology Advanced Trainee in a clinical role. Trainees are ineligible for the Award once RACP Fellowship is confirmed.
Only those Award applicants who attend the ANZSN Aotearoa New Zealand Annual Meeting and, if shortlisted, make an oral presentation at the dedicated Bruce Morrison Award session, will be considered eligible for the Award.
The Award winner will receive a cash prize of NZD $500.

Sunday Sessions

Trainee

A dedicated session for trainees, focusing on practical topics relevant to renal practice such as physiology, clinical decision making, or case‑based discussion.

Supervisor CPD

RACP Supervisor Professional Development Program (SPDP) workshops will be available free of charge at the meeting.

Available workshops:

• Practical skills for supervisors
• Teaching and learning in healthcare settings
• Work‑based learning and assessment

Note: only two of these workshops will run, based on preference selected during registration.

Evening Events: Unwind & Connect

Friday: Harbour-side canapes and drinks, offering sweeping views of Tutukaka Harbour
Saturday: Evening event at one of Tutukaka’s top hot-spots

Venues

The ANZSN Ao-NZ Meeting will be held at the Whangarei Deep Sea Anglers Club for the Friday and Saturday program, with Sunday sessions taking place at Oceans Hotel, located about a 3‑minute walk away.
