Associate Professor Peter Hughes
Associate Professor Peter Hughes is a transplant nephrologist, head of the kidney transplant service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and has an honorary appointment at as a Principal Fellow at the University of Melbourne. He has been the Director of the Australian Paired Kidney Exchange program since 2017, and then the Australian and New Zealand Paired Kidney Exchange Program since 2019. He completed his PhD at the WEHI and has an ongoing research program including clinical trials, basic science and translational research. He is on several committees involved in the governance of transplantation.
