The Australia and New Zealand Dialysis and Transplant (ANZDATA) Registry collects and reports on all patients receiving kidney replacement therapy across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Through high-quality, transparent data reporting, ANZDATA supports clinical practice improvement, policy development, and research in nephrology and transplantation.

Sitting within ANZDATA, the National Indigenous Kidney Transplantation Taskforce (NIKTT) works to improve equity in access to kidney transplantation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Established in 2019, NIKTT is co-led by First Nations experts and clinicians and focuses on systems reform, community-led governance, and culturally safe care.

Australasian Kidney Trials Network

The Australasian Kidney Trials Network is an academic collaborative research group within the University of Queensland specialising in investigator-initiated clinical trials in kidney disease.  The AKTN works with the kidney care community to enable high-quality, world-class research focused on improving outcomes for people living with kidney disease.
To date, the AKTN has successfully completed fifteen trials with another ten in development or underway. Our research helps bring evidence to medical practice and in doing so improve outcomes for CKD patients.
