Working closely with patients and caregivers across all stages of research, we focus on identifying impactful interventions that address high-priority health outcomes, providing robust evidence to support their efficacy, and evaluating implementation strategies across diverse clinical settings.

Australasian Kidney Trials Network
The Australasian Kidney Trials Network is an academic collaborative research group within the University of Queensland specialising in investigator-initiated clinical trials in kidney disease.  The AKTN works with the kidney care community to enable high-quality, world-class research focused on improving outcomes for people living with kidney disease.
To date, the AKTN has successfully completed fifteen trials with another ten in development or underway. Our research helps bring evidence to medical practice and in doing so improve outcomes for CKD patients.

The Australia and New Zealand Dialysis and Transplant Registry (ANZDATA) is a clinical quality registry that collects and produces a wide range of statistics relating to the outcomes of treatment of those with end-stage kidney failure. ANZDATA has been in operation since 1977 and all dialysis and transplant services, in Australia and New Zealand, contribute data to the Registry.
