Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist | Starship Children’s HospitalDr Chanel Prestidge, is a paediatric nephrologist at Starship Children’s Hospital, Auckland since 2011 post completion of fellowship at British Columbia Children’s Hospital, Vancouver. She has a particular interest in improving access to and outcomes of paediatric kidney transplantation. She is currently President of the Australian New Zealand Nephrology Association, member of the TSANZ Paediatric Transplant Advisory Committee, the recently established TSANZ Adolescent and Young Adult Transplant Working Group, ANZDATA Paediatric Working Group and paediatric representative on the NZ National Renal Transplant Leadership Committee. |

Overview of nephrotic syndrome research including children from Aotearoa from the Starship Renal Service. Includes congenital nephrotic syndrome in NZ Maori population, use of calcineurin inhibitors in monogenic steroid resistant nephrotic syndrome and transplantation for steroid resistant nephrotic syndrome.
