Biography:
Dr Melanie Beacroft is the Director, Chronic and Renal Disease in First Nations Health Division at the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care. She leads the team responsible, among other things, for the implementation of the Better Renal Services for First Nations Peoples Budget measure, building up to 30 dialysis units in remote First Nations communities. Mel has worked in a variety of roles in the public sector and Aboriginal community controlled health and currently lives in Canberra.
