2023 Trainee Weekend

We are pleased to launch the 2023 Trainee Weekend to be held in Sydney May 19^th-21^st 2023. The Trainee Weekend is a new initiative of yANZSN and the Education and Training Committee, bringing together all trainees from across Australia and New Zealand for a weekend of learning and networking.

The learning will be delivered in a mix of small group case-based discussions and reflections, skills-based masterclasses and lectures specifically targeted at building trainees’ confidence in translating theoretical knowledge into clinical approaches. The weekend will also serve as a great opportunity for trainees to get to know each other and build the community of early career kidney professionals.

Trainees will receive an allowance for flights and 2 nights’ accommodation with breakfast (Saturday and Sunday).

Day tickets are available for $200 AUD early bird or $250 AUD non early bird. These include all sessions on the day you attend (Sat or Sun) and morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea

We will explore when to consider a genetic diagnosis, practical options for genetic investigation in the clinic, how to consent a patient for genetic testing and therapeutics in genetic kidney disease.
