On behalf of ANZSN’s Scientific Program and AwaRd Committee (SPARC), we are excited to invite you to participate as a sponsor and/or exhibitor at the 58th Annual Scientific Meeting in Ōtautahi Christchurch in 2023. This is a long overdue meeting for us, as the 2011 planned meeting was cancelled due to earthquakes.

Ōtautahi Christchurch has regenerated and looks beautiful by the river in Spring (plus with snow on the Alps). It will be a lovely place to come for reflection, friendship and a space away from busy lives.

Our 2023 ASM will be held from 4-6 September, and we are planning for a variety of auxiliary courses to supplement our learnings and to enable us to sustain old and create new connections. We wish to state our commitment to Indigenous Health Advancement which will be a key focus of kōrero (speaking), whakarongo (listening/hearing/feeling) and māramatanga (understanding) throughout the ASM.

The Australian and New Zealand Society of Nephrology is a not-for-profit organisation representing the interests of health professionals committed to the prevention, treatment andcure of kidney disease.

Secure the right to host one of only two exhibition Barista Cafes in the ASM exhibition, serving unlimited coffee, hot chocolate, and tea to delegates for the duration of the exhibition opening times.

Your proposed floor plan of the café is to be submitted to Conference Design for approval by the committee and venue. Only two cafes will be allowed in the 2023 exhibition and their positions are pre-marked on the floor plan.

IN-PERSON EXHIBITION

The exhibition will run for the duration of the meeting with morning tea, afternoon tea (except Wednesday) and lunch served in the exhibition area. The Monday evening Welcome Reception will also be held in the exhibition area.

Exhibitor staff registrations include entry to the exhibition for 3 days including the Welcome Reception; they do not include access to meeting sessions or the Gala Dinner. Dinner tickets may be purchased separately.  Additional 3-day exhibitor staff registrations are available for $700 NZD | AUD (no GST) including the Welcome Reception. 1-day exhibitor registrations may be purchased for $300 NZD | AUD (no GST).  Exhibition bump in begins Sunday 3rd September. Exhibition is open to delegates from 0800 Monday 4th September until the end of lunch (approx. 1400) on Wednesday 6th September.  Exhibitors may bump out after this time.

The New Zealand Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Authority (Medsafe) is responsible for the regulation of medicines and medical devices in New Zealand, and the safe use of medicines. They are a business unit of the Ministry of Health and is the authority responsible for the regulation of therapeutic products in New Zealand.

Supporting Green Nephrology

The ANZSN Environmental Sustainability Committee advises Council on actions to foster, promote and support environmentally sustainable nephrology practice in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Environmental commitments at ANZSN events

ANZSN recognizes that urgent action is needed to help minimise the impacts of climate change, sustainably manage natural resources, and reduce and manage waste.  We actively take steps to reduce the environmental footprint of our events, both in terms of minimizing the use of materials and need for local transport, and in terms of waste disposal.

2023 Environmental Sustainability Best Practice Exhibition Award

The Environmental Sustainability Committee is specifically looking for exhibitors at our face-to-face events who can demonstrate that they have made considerable efforts to minimise the environmental footprint of their stand. This may include minimising disposable promotional materials and gifts, ensuring that all promotional material and gifts that are made available are produced as sustainably as possible, avoiding energy intense stands and unnecessary lighting and using reusable structures and exhibition stands.
